Position: Business Analyst
Corporate Group: Business Solutions Team
Reports to: Manager, Business Solutions

Job Summary:

Responsible for:

  • Eliciting, analyzing and accurately documenting the requirements for IT solutions

  • Presenting and discussing IT solutions offerings with customers

  • Performing testing, review and evaluation of IT solutions

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Requirements Analysis

    • Work closely with clients to examine existing business processes, requirements and the flows of data in the business

    • Perform detailed analysis of customer feedback and findings to ensure a thorough understanding of the customer’s requirements

    • Work closely with Business Solutions Consultants and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction

    • Review findings with client and technical design team

    • Interface with design and development team to ensure eventual solution addresses customer requirements and expectations

  • Requirements Documentation

    • Document the requirements for the proposed business solution, which will include: Process flow diagrams and documentation, customer requirements specifications, system requirements specifications

  • Testing and Quality Assurance

    • Work with technical resources and client resources to develop acceptance test plans

    • Work with technical resources to develop integration and system test plans

    • Conduct testing of completed solution components

    • Perform quality assurance reviews of implementation process and products

  • Support Sales Process

    • Research product functionality and features

    • Conduct presentations and reviews of client requirements

    • Contribute towards development of proposals by outlining proposed solutions

    • Contribute towards development of project plans

Skills and Experience:

The following skills or the equivalent in experience are required attributes for the successful candidate:

  • First Degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR degree in Financial Management or ACCA Level 2

  • At least two (2) years practical experience in implementation and supporting IT Business Solutions

  • At least two (2) years practical experience in the development of business process flows

  • Good Oral and written communication skills

The following mix of experience and skills would be an asset for the successful candidate:

  • Supervisory experience

  • Project Lead experience
