How we work

At Infotech our mission is straightforward:

We help businesses and organisations become more profitable and better able to achieve goals by providing appropriate and viable IT Solutions and Services delivered on time and within budget.

It is no secret that within the IT sector research shows that 90% of projects are over budget (Aberdeen), while half of IT projects fail to meet objectives (Gartner). Statistics like these have provided the motivation and played the part as catalyst in us striving towards constant improvement in meeting not only the technical needs of our customers, but addressing their business needs as well, on time and of course within budget! We pride ourselves in being both realistic and transparent, never resorting to making false promises. We NEVER walk away from a commitment!

We take a 360 degree view of any business looking at four (4) key areas:

  1. PEOPLE
  2. PROCESS
  3. TECHNOLOGY and
  4. SUPPORT

And asking the underlying question: How can our customers use technology to improve their business?

In discussions with customers, we can assess where they are with plans for where they see themselves and want to be after our intervention. This fundamental gap analysis addresses the following:

  • Readiness assessment
  • Change management
  • The existing technology and
  • The existing processes

When we partner with customers, regardless of the project, we often find three (3) types of systems in place:

  • A semi-automated system: usually not integrated and or running current with a manual based system
  • A grass roots “choice” system: the steps within the larger enterprise system that employees choose to use depending on their comfort level with the technology or the degree of existing fear factors surrounding technology making their jobs obsolete
  • A manually based system

We can then assess how ‘ready’ an organisation is and how we can bridge the gap. This sometimes involves organisational redesign, documentation of processes, workshopping to integrate these processes and applications and of course implementation and training.

In spite of technology being at the center of creating the change for improvement in any business and its growth, our team associates never lose sight of the fact that any project is about helping people make changes in their behaviour around how processes are done and about making their lives easier. This ultimately is the true measure of our success.
